Bluffs, fog and cypress
Wedding planning in The Sea Ranch
Full-service planning & design
The Sea Ranch is one of the most extraordinary places in California to marry, and one of the most demanding to produce. Ten miles of bluff, a chapel, a lodge and dozens of architectural homes — and almost no vendor infrastructure for forty minutes in either direction.
We plan Sea Ranch weddings as coastal productions: everything trucked in, everything weather-planned, nothing left to the marine layer.

Where we work
Permits, wind plans and weighted design.
Larger counts with a real indoor fallback.
Weekend buyouts for intimate guest lists.
A tiny, unforgettable ceremony for a very small group.
Vendor travel and lodging, generator power, restroom trailers, wind-rated tenting, heaters, blanket service, and a rain plan we would be happy to actually use.
We build every coastal timeline backwards from sunset with a fifteen-minute float in case the fog lifts late.
September and early October: the fog thins, the wind eases, and the light is at its warmest. May and June are beautiful and considerably more variable.
Common questions
Often yes — bluff, trail and beach sites can fall under association, Coastal Commission or State Parks jurisdiction. We file well ahead as part of planning.
Most Sea Ranch weddings we produce run 30 to 100 guests. Lodging inventory, not ceremony space, is usually the limiting factor.
We plan for it. Weighted linens, low sheltered florals, heaters ordered even in August, blankets at every aisle, and a covered alternative confirmed in writing.
